CoC Fair Housing Advisory Committee

The CoC Fair Housing Advisory Committee evaluates Wake CoC policies, procedures and data to ensure compliance with the North Carolina State Fair Housing Act of 1968 (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 41A) which makes it illegal to discriminate in housing based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disabilities, and familial status. The CoC Fair Housing Advisory Committee ensures access to safe and affordable housing services. The Committee recommends policy changes based on data and best practices; creates and supports system partnerships; and develops plans and processes to assess whether the Wake CoC’s policies and resource allocation decisions are positively impacting individuals and households served through the Wake County CoC.

The CoC Fair Housing Advisory Committee shall submit an Annual Work Plan to the Wake CoC Governing Board no later than December 31st of each year.
