Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is responsible for engaging the diverse stakeholders and service providers that are critical to improving the affordable housing situation in Wake County. This group recruits individuals and organizations to become members of the CoC and actively participate in committees and work groups, and is responsible for determining the qualifications needed by both organizations and individuals to participate in the CoC.

Recruitment

CoC Board, Committee members, and CoC Membership should reflect the diversity of the community. To the extent feasible, persons with lived experience and at least one Board member should be part of every committee.

CoC Governance will be open to persons (CoC members, Collaborative Applicant staff, and Governing Board) who have expertise and interest in the subject matter of the committee. We are committeed to be inclusive of or have equal voice of persons with lived experience on each committee.

Selection

The Nominations Committee will create a description of the committee seeking applicants, the eligiblility criteria for applying, and an application with a due date. This call for application will be posted on the website and email notice will be sent to the CoC List via the CoC Digest.

The Nominations Committee will review all applications and make selections based on eligibility, absence of conflict of interest, lived, experience, and diversity. An interview may be required in addition to the application during the selection process.
