FY2024 and FY2025 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project

NOTICE OF LOCAL COMPETITION: June 19th, 2026

The Wake CoC Collaborative Applicant is calling for new applicants for the FY2024 and FY2025 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) to submit.

The NC 507 Wake County Continuum of Care (CoC) is charged by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to submit a community-wide application for homeless assistance funds.

Youth Homelessness NOFO for FY2024 and FY2025 is published and can be accessed above and at Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) Competition page.

The Department of Housing and Development (HUD) expects to select approximately 12 YHDP Community Recipients (i.e. Continua of Care) from the FY2024 funds, approximately 12 YHDP Community Recipients from the FY2025 funds, and approximately 120 total YHDP project awards. The minimum YHDP award for a YHDP Community Recipient is $500,000 and the maximum YHDP award for a YHDP Community Recipients is $15,000,000.

Note: The Wake CoC has already received and participated in Youth Homeless System Improvement (YHSI) grant, and is therefore seeking applications to pursue the Youth Homelessness Demonstration (YHDP) Program.
Project Applications
Project applications have not yet been published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Additionally, e-snaps has not yet opened the project applications for registration. Continue to check this page for updates.

The Wake CoC (NC 507) is soliciting agencies to submit new project applications for the local competition under the Youth Homelessness NOFO. All project applications and supplementary materials are due no later than Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM (subject to change depending upon when e-snaps opens registration). Application and materials to be compressed into a .zip file and uploaded to the Smartsheets Submission Form (linked here).
The Wake CoC supports new applicants and projects that produce high-quality services and housing opportunities that enable youth to remain and thrive in their communities, both independently and with appropriate services. The Wake CoC strives to fund eligible applicants proposing to meet this goal with a project created in collaboration with community partners, homeless and formerly homeless youth, which support the Wake CoC plans and strategies. Successful applicants will demonstrate clear strategies that align with HUD priorities and promote self-sufficiency.
