NOTICE OF LOCAL COMPETITION: As of July 2, 2026, the Wake CoC (NC 507) is soliciting agencies to project applications for the local competition under the HUD CoC Builds NOFO.

As of June 23, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development posted the FY24 Continuum of Care Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity.

The NC 507 Wake County Continuum of Care (CoC) is charged by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to submit a Priority Listing for new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation (capital costs) of new permanent supportive housing (PSH) units.

Project Applications

The Wake CoC (NC 507) is soliciting agencies to submit project applications for the local competition under the CoC Builds NOFO. All project applications and supplementary materials are due no later than Friday, July 14, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
 
To complete the application, an agency will need to individually register for the CoC Builds Project Application 2026 in esnaps, complete the application and download a PDF copy of the application. DO NOT HIT SUBMIT. Application and materials are to be compressed into a .zip file and uploaded to the Smartsheets Submission Form (linked here). The local competition scorecard for the FY24 CoC Builds will be reflective of the requirements outlined in the NOFO, pages 29-35.
 
The Wake CoC supports new applicants and projects that produce high-quality services and housing opportunities that enable persons to remain and thrive in their communities, both independently and with appropriate services. The Wake CoC strives to fund eligible applicants proposing to meet this goal with a project created in collaboration with community partners, homeless and formerly homeless persons, which support the Wake CoC plans and strategies. Successful applicants will demonstrate clear strategies that align with HUD priorities and promote self-sufficiency.

Each year the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) releases a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) which outlines the requirements and deadlines of the Continuum of Care Builds competition.

  • Optional: Letter(s) of Commitment, Contract, Other Formal Written Commitment Subrecipient Nonprofit Documentation
  • Optional: Most recent audited financial statements and, if applicable, management letter
